The art of argumentation or as many people calls it debating has become my new enhanced lifestyle.
I had the opportunity to be part in local and national debate competitions conducted by Young Arab Voices. Literally, this humble experience shaped my way of seeing things. My debating experience is considered to be as a firm step in my success ladder. It is a step where I find myself respectfully important. Since I joined a debate club with Sawty Sousse, I fell in love with it instantly. As if it is a love from the first sight. A love that afterwards became the oxygen, when it is not around, I cease to exist. As being a young female debater, life has changed its perspective accordingly. I came to notice that the art of argumentation is unbeatable. It is capable of making drastic change in tangled problems. Discussing these aforementioned issues by females, empower women to clear a path in order to establish a foothold in their vocational and personal life. It is crucial for Tunisian women to consider this art of argumentation as a tool to be heard in a male dominated society.
Debating has a huge Impact on me. It helped me to achieve a part of my human soul. It that part where a regular human being has it but not acting upon it. It the right to speak up freely instead of bottling up what should be said in a particular situation. It established in me a healthy sense of communication, organized critical thinking and strengthened my public speaking performance.
From my perspective, the art of Debating is not only words but twisted though lines that come together in form of a convincible solid argument for the sake of the common interest.
In a nutshell, debate changed, changing and will be changing my mental wellbeing. My overgrowing love to the latter art helped me to be the person I am now. It is the best investment of my life.
